What is IABCET?

Is IABCET a government agency or regulator?
No. IABCET is a non-governmental organization. Its accreditation is a voluntary, standards-based quality-assurance process and does not constitute government endorsement, statutory recognition, licensing, or regulatory approval.
What does IABCET accredit?

Accreditation
What is the difference between institutional, program, and provider accreditation?
Institutional accreditation applies to an organization as a whole. Program accreditation applies to a specific program of study or training. Provider accreditation applies to organizations delivering continuing education and training. Each pathway has its own scope and requirements. What standards does IABCET use?

What is the difference between CPE and CEU?

Professional Credentials
What is an IABCET professional credential?
An individual designation — such as the Lecturer, Teacher, Trainer, or CPE/CEU Trainer credential — that recognizes an individual’s professional practice. It is separate from, and independent of, any organization’s accreditation status. See Professional Credentials.
Does holding a professional credential mean my organization is accredited?
No. Individual credentials and organizational accreditation are distinct processes with distinct requirements and scopes.
Verification
How do I verify that an organization or program is IABCET accredited?
Start at the Verify Accreditation hub, then use the relevant pathway: Verify an Accredited Institution, Verify an Accredited Program, Verify a Professional Credential, or Verify a CPE/CEU Certificate.
An organization displays an IABCET logo. Does that mean it is accredited?
A logo or certificate alone should not be treated as proof. Accreditation status can change over time and applies only within a defined scope. Always confirm the claim through the verification pathways above, and contact IABCET if a claim cannot be confirmed.
Is membership the same as accreditation?
No. Membership in or affiliation with IABCET is always distinct from accreditation. Only organizations and programs that have completed the applicable accreditation process and hold current status are accredited.
